The Advanced Professional Degree Consulting Club (APDCC) at UC San Diego comprises graduate students and post-doctoral scholars formally trained across a number of disciplines including the physical and life sciences, engineering, mathematics, and the social sciences. This diverse group shares a common interest in leveraging unique academic experiences to engage with the business world in a mutually beneficial manner through intensive 10-week consulting projects. Beyond this central focus of the club, APDCC prepares members for business careers through consulting case practice sessions, networking events with local industry, and managing the micro-MBA program at the Rady School of Management. These notable efforts led USCD to name APDCC the Outstanding Student Organization of the Year for 2013-14. Lastly, many APDCC alumni have gone on to prominent positions in consulting firms including McKinsey, BCG, and L.E.K., and in many other business sectors.
